Known as the (1GD-FTV), this new engine uses a variable nozzle turbocharger, chain drive and intercooler to produce an impressive 203 HP at 3,400 RPM and 310 lb-ft (420 N m) of torque between 1,400-3,400 RPM and is the first 4-cylinder options offered in the 70 series since 1991 model year. For the 2024 model year, the LandCruiser 70 got another facelift and a few other updates, including a 50% stiffer frame, 30% improvement in body rigidity, an electronic power steering system, Lane Tracing Assist and a new 8-speed direct shift transmission option.
